I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn%26#039;t do curls very well.

Celebrities have nice hair, and they don%26#039;t use CHI. They use Sedu. There is something called Sedu hairstyles on every beauty website. No CHI hairstyles right?

ok well my moms hair is super CURLY and so is her moms and dads and sisters and my dads hair is super STRAIGHT youd think my hair would be curly straight or wavy well..neither its supposely straight but it can be straighter by alot and i can make it wavy but i have to put a bunch of gel wen its wet and i have to scrunch it by putting it in a sort of messy bun and i have to keep it that way 4 like 20 or more minutes. but of i just take a shower and leave it how it is it gets all puffy and the next day its all calm and straight exept for since in layers and the tips gets kinda wavy but only that so what am i suppose to do w/ my hair cuz if i want it wavy it takes a long time and if i want it straight i have to shower every 2 or 3 days and i get dandruff really bad and fast so if u know anything plz help

You need to find a style that works well with the hair that you have. You will go nuts if you try to make your hair look a way that it won%26#039;t naturally go. I learned that lesson after several permanents. I wanted spiral curls, then I wanted a body wave, and it never worked. Finally, I got layers, and now I like my hair the way it is (straight). You should talk to a good hair stylist and try to find out a cut that works best with what you have already got.

I had highlights put in about a month or so ago, and now I want to color my hair. (I have blond hair, and I would like to go to a light brown color) I heard that if you color your hair with highlights, it can turn your hair green! I actually have trouble believing this but I just wanted to make sure.
And, I was wondering if you would recommend having it done in a salon, or doing it at home with a kit. I%26#039;ve never actually colored my hair before so I really don%26#039;t want to mess it up!

No. The only reason it will turn green is from chlorine, copper, or any other chemical water supply. So you should be ok.

If it were me, especially since you want to go darker, and you have never colored your hair before I would go to the salon, they can help you choose the right shade, etc... depending on the texture of your hair and the base color of your hair, you could pull the red up, what that means is that instead of having a brown, you will have a reddish brown, if your hair is prone to turning a redder shade, you can use an ash brown color, the ash uses a contrast that will counteract the brown....
Until you get used to how your hair is going to color, I would go to a salon just to be on the safe side, trust me it is much cheaper going the first time, than going after you%26#039;ve screwed something up and have to have a corrective color done, which could become very very costly!

Reply:wow, well perms last a long time, and if you mess up, you will have to deal with it. GO TO A STYLIST!! dont do it yourself, it wont work
Reply:I don%26#039;t really know if this is perming your hair, but if you have already curly hair you can make the curls tighter by using a mixure of LOTS of shampoo and LOTS of conditionar (I use three squirts of each) you can tighten your hair. first you add one squirt of shampoo and conditionar together, then add another, and another all in different places. (you can use less if you have short hair if it%26#039;s longer you can use more) After you%26#039;ve added all your squirts you rub your head till your hair is covered with it (make sure you get the roots). Let it sit for like one minute then take your fingure and swirl your hair, after your whole head it swirled let it sit for about ten minutes. (make sure your hair stays swirled)

Reply:I don%26#039;t really know if this is perming your hair, but if you have already curly hair you can make the curls tighter by using a mixure of LOTS of shampoo and LOTS of conditionar (I use three squirts of each) you can tighten your hair. first you add one squirt of shampoo and conditionar together, then add another, and another all in different places. (you can use less if you have short hair if it%26#039;s longer you can use more) After you%26#039;ve added all your squirts you rub your head till your hair is covered with it (make sure you get the roots). Let it sit for like one minute then take your fingure and swirl your hair, after your whole head it swirled let it sit for about ten minutes. (make sure your hair stays swirled)

If you dont want to straighten it i would use The Catwalk Curls Rock cream.Dont use a lot though just like a dime size amount it gives you the wet look yet its not crunchy or hard.Use a some of The Paul Mitchell Extra Body mousse as well to help with the frizz if you have a problem with that.:o)

so get your hair thinned and cut layered...layered cuts are good looking when properly treated/shaped with wax and hairspray... (I%26#039;m an Asian boy and I do asian hair...not emo hair tho, but they have some reminence of asian hairs =P)...

I think you have very good features that could use emphasizing. You need work but you could look amazing. Remove all facial hair (waxing or somethingbut at a salon, never do it yourself- i tried that and its bad), do your eyebrowns, go tanning, style your hair at a very good salon (even though it might be pricey its worth it) and voila, you will look amazing! trust me you will look like a different person, you can also try colored lenses, like green or blue.

Gentle shampoo for colored hair?
I am dying my hair pink again and I am wondering if anyone knows of a gentle shampoo that will help reduce fading.
I AM NOT looking for a shampoo that is FOR dyed hair.. I am looking for something that is all around gentle (such as baby shampoo?? You tell me) and can be found at a regular store like Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, etc. Thanks :D

ok so my hair is like barely shoulder length u cant braid it because it is to short, my hair is naturally straight with layers but when it drys the ends curl up,it is very thick and does not work when i straighten it. i like to curl my hair sometimes but i always end up wearing it in a ponytail because it gets so puffy and frizzy

i think since your hair is naturally redish, i would do it brown with redish tones in it, but not have red highlights. It will make it look natural with your skin tone and bring out your eyes.(:

I recomend Ion hair color, found at your local beauty supply store, follow it up with the deep conditioning pack of the same brand. You will get great color, and your hair will be soft and shiny.

i have super thick, curly hair that is just TERRIBLE in the summer, sometimes i cant even brush through it! and i use matrix biolage smootherapie shampoo, but it doesnt do anything! the only way my hair looks okay is when i straighten it, but i dont want to do that every day! any suggestions?

I would go to a salon and have it thinned big time you wont even believe the diffrence after you have gotten it thinned. You may want to consider a chemical relaxer it will make your hair straighter and more manageable and take a lot less time if you want to go over it with a flat iron.

okay i have a hairstyle that im going to be changing...i want to know if you think this would look cool. i am going to have green(real green not lime green) purple and blue streaks throughout my dark brown hair, dont worry i have already dyed my hair weird colors before so i know what will happen. my other question is what kind of cut should i get? right now my longest layer is about an inch below my shoulder and my shortest is a little below my chin, i have angled bangs(and i dont want to get rid of them) also extensions are out of the question and so is a really short style because my hair is thick(i get it thinned but i dont want anything shorter than my chin) i also have to straighten it. please no rude answers

If you want to avoid breakage from heat you can also let your hair dry naturally overnight or use cold air with the hairdryer. Last but not least why not ask your stylist? No doubt if they relaxed your hair for you they can recommend a product to help protect it. Good Luck

An imbalance of the 2 can make hair feel dry and/or brittle. As for your ends, the only way to get rid of them would be a trim. I would then impart some form of moisture and protein into the hair, comcentrating on the ends. Redken extreme line does a really good job with this. Try the anti snap. Very little heat styling, as this could damage the ends worse. A product designed to bring back damaged ends is the joico split end mender. Really good stuff, fairly light and smells good. Just remember, moisture and protein!!

Hair is covered with one or more protective outer layers called the cuticle. The more cuticle layers there are, the coarser the hair feels. Hair is covered with one or more protective outer layers called the cuticle. The more cuticle layers there are, the coarser the hair feels. Hair on your head is covered with several layers of cuticle, whereas the hair on your arms generally has few cuticle layers and the hair on your face generally has many more. (This can also vary with race and age.) That鈥檚 one reason facial hair often feels more wiry and coarse than head hair. Conditioner is designed to soften the cuticle layers, so try using it on your beard. Some guys find that applying coconut oil -- an ingredient in shaving cream that softens whiskers -- also helps.
As a general rule, shorter whiskers often feel stiffer than longer whiskers -- just like an inch-long piece of wire feels stiffer than a foot-long piece of the same wire. Trimming is another factor. Trimming leaves whiskers with blunt, sharp ends. Those ends start to round off after a few days. But if you trim frequently to keep your beard short, your whiskers spend more of their time in the blunt-and-sharp phase -- that may be what your sweetie is feeling.
