i have super thick, curly hair that is just TERRIBLE in the summer, sometimes i cant even brush through it! and i use matrix biolage smootherapie shampoo, but it doesnt do anything! the only way my hair looks okay is when i straighten it, but i dont want to do that every day! any suggestions?
Extremely unmanagable hair?
MAN I AM THE SAME WAY DONT YOU JUST HATE IT IT GETS ALL TANGELD UP AND DRY AND DAMAGED I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS TO CUASE ITS A VERY USEFUL QUESTION.
Extremely unmanagable hair?
I would go to a salon and have it thinned big time you wont even believe the diffrence after you have gotten it thinned. You may want to consider a chemical relaxer it will make your hair straighter and more manageable and take a lot less time if you want to go over it with a flat iron.
Reply:you can go and get it chemicaly straightend. it dries out your hair. but is totally worth it. just as the salon for a good conditioner. might be a lot of money, in the end it can save you time and damage. if you still want a little curl find out about gettting a loose perm!
Reply:I would get it short with some layers maybe with a side swoop bang.Have them thin it out some too.Ummm...have you used a leave in conditioner like the big sexy hair soy wheat?Thats a good one. ANy leave in conditioner would be good just to help you brush through it more easier. You know? Also if you dont like to straightn it everyday you could always scrunch it to.A good product for that is the curls rock made by catwalk and you only have to use like a dime size amount and it lasts for quite awhile.
Oh you also might want to switch to the Biolage Hydrating shampoo and conditioning balm.It will help with the dryness in your hair.Expecially since you straighten it
Reply:just put it up
Reply:thin the heck out of it, thinning is also called texturizing. i have the same problem and i got it thinned alot and its still kind of thick but much more manageable. also i would recommend using herbalessences non of your frizzness shampoo, it smells great and it does wonders for your hair. and if you still dont want to straighten your hair even after you have it thinned out than i would recommend putting bedhead ego boost in your hair right when your hair is starting to dry, not when its completely dry but not when you just get out of the shower probably when its a little damp, make sure you brush through it first.
Reply:As your hair is curly ask the salon to cut your hair in feathercut as it looks to be thin. You can also have it in ponytail. So better dont try to straight as it damages hair and you losses much of hair .So better try this
Reply:Use some mousse or gel to smooth it back into a ponytail with clips or something.
Or you could get a relaxer in it, but that could damage your hair if you do it too often.
Apply products when your hair is still wet. Put heavy clips on the ends to keep the hair from poofing. And blow dry it.
And one or two braids/french braids is always a cute, easy style.
If you have the right type of hair to do this, you could use moisturizers such as pink oil to make it a little more manageable.
Hope I helped!
Reply:Deep condition with products you have at home!
Spread olive oil from root to tip of your hair and cover with a shower cap. Add heat if desired, and leave on overnight. Rinse out in the morning.
You can also try the same with Baby lotion!
